I am an integrative psychotherapist, couples counsellor, and Registered Mental Health Nurse, working with adults and couples in Worcester city centre and online. I offer psychotherapy and relationship counselling to people experiencing emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and the effects of trauma.
My approach is thoughtful, grounded, and focused on understanding how emotional patterns develop and how they continue to shape the way people relate to themselves and others. I aim to provide a steady, non-judgemental space where difficult experiences can be explored safely and at a manageable pace.
I work relationally, meaning that the therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of the work. I pay close attention to how experiences, emotions, and patterns show up both in your wider life and within the therapy space. This can help make sense of reactions that feel confusing or hard to control.
I work in an integrative way, drawing on different therapeutic approaches so the work can respond to you as an individual rather than following a single model. My practice is informed by psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and systemic approaches. I combine reflection and exploration with practical strategies when these are helpful, particularly where emotions feel overwhelming or destabilising.
I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable. We focus on creating enough safety and stability to explore what feels difficult without rushing. This helps the work stay containing, even when emotions or experiences feel intense.
Alongside individual psychotherapy, I offer relationship and couples counselling. I work with couples who are experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, loss of trust, or a sense of disconnection. The focus of couples work is on understanding the patterns between partners, how these have developed, and what may help support change over time.
Whether working individually or with couples, the work is collaborative and paced, with attention to emotional safety, boundaries, and your capacity to engage with the process.
I hold an MSc in Integrated Psychotherapy and Counselling and am trained as a Relate couples counsellor. I am also a Registered Mental Health Nurse, with over twenty years’ experience working in mental health services in the UK and Australia.
My nursing background includes work in a range of settings, including hospitals, community services, and specialist mental health environments. This experience has shaped a calm and steady way of working, particularly when supporting people with complex or long-standing difficulties.
I work within professional and ethical guidelines and engage in regular supervision and ongoing professional development. These frameworks help ensure that the work remains safe, reflective, and responsive to the needs of each client.
